And let’s face it, most of us simply don’t have the budget to buy the latest and greatest at hundreds or thousands of dollars at a pop.
Costume jewelry is a fact of life for anyone who wants to stay on top of the trends but needs to watch what they spend. But, even for those who can afford the designer jewels, some opt for the costume variety in many cases. For one, just because someone has a lot of money doesn’t mean they want to spend a fortune on a new fad each week.
Another reason wealthy women choose costume jewelry is to avoid loss due to theft. More often than you might imagine, jewelry is the target of thieves. By wearing a replica of the real thing, the amount of loss is reduced to nearly zero.
