Canon Digital Camera Lens VS. Front Cover Repair

Here we’d like to describe in this manuscript the difference between 2 repair services available for digicam lenses. Many might not know there is a difference between the two, or that there are options available. Camera owners should be informedIt’s Important for consumers to know that there are options available {and you do not always have to just sending the camera to the manufacturer for a $200 repair as there are services available that may do lens mend for only $100!
We will begin with digital camera lens fix service. Using the Canon Canon SD1000 lens error repair for our example, this mend covers all the E:18 Lens Error messages (for older Canon models), the Lens Error, Restart Camera (for newer Canon models), the E:61 error (for Sony models) and all the different kinds of error messages seen from other camera suppliers.
Usually in most cases, you can’t repair damaged lenses and must replace the broken lens (even with lenses that have no clear physical damage) with a new, OEM lens. Please note however, that the CCD is not always replaced, and your original CCD will be used. Sometimes, if the damage caused to the lens is harsh enough, the CCD might malfunction also. If your CCD goes bad, your lens is not always bad, and what you need replaced is just the CCD, which is cheaper and simpler to replace than the complete lens assembly.
The other type of lens fix we provide is pretty much unique to Canon cameras at the moment. This lens mend is for a lens that still is working but the built in lens barriers do not ; it’s called the Lens Barrier Repair Service. Here we’re going to use the Canon SD750 lens cover repair as an example. This type of problem generally does not cause your lens to stop working and give the E:18 or one of the various other error messages. The barriers on the lens are used to keep debris out of the lens mechanism, and to protect the glass from fingerprints when the camera is turned off.
Often, if the camera is dropped, these barriers can be knocked out of alignment, or pop off even if the impact is light. As long as there isn’t any serious damage to the existing lens housing this can be fixed for cheap! These lenses use plastic as their way of holding this assembly together, so there is always a chance the housing can break or crack, preventing this kind of repair altogether.
This type of problem is fairly easily mended, and is far cheaper than a lens replacement, as the parts are smaller and simpler. Again, if the plastic housing is damaged, depending on the severity, you might need a lens replacement. Of course if the lens barrel is badly damaged you just may need to replace the whole lens. The lens is still completely functional without the barriers, but unprotected against scratches or dust .
Hopefully these tips will help you to spot what Canon digital camera parts your camera needs. Make sure that when it comes to your digicam mend you do some searching on the web. Don’t just take the word of the individual at the store that the repair will cost masses of greenbacks and you ought to just toss the camera in the dumpster.
