Whilst relatively new on the market, Maurice Lacroix watches are taking their share of the market. The quality of these watches is more than obvious and the innovation of the watchmakers shines through when looking at one of the masterpieces. The mechanical watches are superior in that they have the addition of chronographs, moon phase indicators and retrograde displays as part of their makeup. There is no lack of style and craftsmanship in these classy timepieces.
Generally, watch bracelets do not come custom made and some adjustment is therefore necessary. The bracelet straps can be adjusted at the spring-loaded pin in the bracelet to adjust the watch bracelet. If you need to adjust the watch bracelet the use a cloth, so that if you drop the pin it will not get lost. There should be a place on the watch bracelet that you can insert the pin that will make the strap more comfortable for you. Some watches have screws and for this you will need the correct sized screwdriver to be able to adjust the strap.
Leather straps can often be too big for the wrist. Making an extra hole or two is the way to solve this problem. Unless you have a leather punch rather not attempt to make the holes yourself, take it a shop that has the correct tools for the job.
Wind up your manual wind watch at the same time each day. The best time is usually in the morning as this powers the watch up for the whole day and will allow for better time keeping.
Take off the watch before attempting to win it up. There are two reasons for this: you could break the strap and unnecessary strain is placed on the watch’s winding system.
You should wind your watch at a consistently slow speed until you feel the mainspring tighten and resist. Pushing it further than the point of resistance could damage the components, as well as the mainspring. Gently, slow winding strokes are best for your watch.
Cheaper automatic watches can stop, as they do not have a winding system to start the watch again. If this is the case then gently swing the watch in an arc formation for a brief period. The manual wind watches can made to work again by turning the winder slowly for a number of minutes.
The watches can be water resistance and how resistant is indicated either on the watch itself or the packaging of the watch. You will see something like: WR30, this indicates it is water resistant to a depth of 30M. If it says WR200M then it is resistant to a depth of 200M. The depth is not as important so the type of water that the watch is exposed to. Hot, soapy, chlorinated or water with detergents in is bad for the seals of the watch. Clean your watch with clean cool water after exposing your watch to any kind of water.
Magnets could also make your watch magnetized, which could result in strange behavior. If your watch gets discordant after you have worked on a computer or the magnetic seal around the door of a freezer, relax as it can be fixed. A watchmaker will have demagnetizing equipment to sort the trouble in no time.
Cheap and expensive watches alike should be looked after carefully. The quarts and mechanical watches equally need care and attention, this will keep the watch in good working order for a long time to come. Durability is part of Maurice Lacroix ladies watch make up and this is why their sales should boom. You will love your new man’s watch.
